My Favorite Highway - How To Call A Bluff

Freshly signed to Virgin records, this up and coming pop quartet are breaking onto the scene with How To Call A Bluff, their melody-minded debut album.
Straight out of Fairfax, VA, My Favorite Highway were named by Alternative Press as one of the "100 Bands To Watch In '09" and gosh darn it they were right. This radio-ready album is filled with hooks and power pop anthems, anchored by enthusiastic lyrics touching on various everyday issues such as finding a purpose to life, the frustration that goes with the process, unsatisfying daily routines, overcoming obstacles, and not waiting to get what you want from life.
The boys dig deep to tap into a very honest place in order to write this album, and serve as a great influence for all the kids who are willing to listen.
In a nutshell this record is described as "uplifting melodies and expressive vocals, dynamic guitar and piano textures, and rock solid rhythm section" according to the band's myspace page.
Both the vocals and the style of piano rock they pump out could be very easily mistaken for The Fray's new album, without actually sounding like an exact rip-off.
