The Secret Life of Sofia

It seems as though this 5 piece from Brooklyn has perfected their style of artsy melancholy rock. They are able to lace their songs with beautifully constructed melodies which hold together each members musicianship tightly. At time, hearing influences that span from David Bowie and Tom Waits all the way to Thom Yorke (Radiohead), painting a very pretty landscape of music. These boys are able to present the audience with well “choreographed” music that shows each member at their best, without showing up the others. Very impressed with the combination of different percussion instruments (bells) and the light tickling of the piano. All in all The Secret Life of Sofia is able to bring a well-crafted piece of musical art to the table. Looking forward to hearing more from these guys!
